Jenny Hwozdek

Jennifer Hwozdek is a co-director of Ridgelines Language Arts, a nonprofit serving the creative needs and imaginations of marginalized communities in central Pennsylvania. Through Ridgelines she also serves as a teaching artist, leading a trauma-informed storytelling program for women who are incarcerated at Muncy State Correctional Institution. Ms. Hwozdek’s work as a teacher has spanned nearly 30 years, beginning in the field of holistic health and evolving, more recently, into the art and craft of storytelling. She has worked with diverse communities of people–from rural to urban, from flower farmers to university professors, and from mothers to motorcycle mechanics. She's passionate about creating spaces where people feel safe to explore their personal histories and experience the immeasurable healing that comes from being deeply heard.
