Scott Riner is a 2023 graduate of Saint Francis University, where he majored in English and minored in Communications and Theatre. His short story “The Grandfather Clock” won first place in the Delta Epsilon Sigma national writing contest. In 2023, he was commissioned by his alma mater to write a play, titled Ekphrasis ̧ which was staged at the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art. When not writing, he works as a butcher at Smithmyer’s Superette.
