Ian Halim

Physician-scribe Ian Halim writes non-fiction that aims to make medicine and science accessible to the widest possible audience – drawing on everything from storytelling to botany in his efforts to bring science to life. Ian earned his PhD in Greek & Latin literature and his MD, both at Columbia University in The City of New York. He now lives in Pittsburgh. His writing has appeared in The Boston Globe, Undark Magazine, and The Somerville Times.
